The new era of interactive shopping






SIDESHOP is a cutting-edge product that aims to create a brand new interactive shopping experience for modern urbanites.

Users can obtain their clothes size for the specific apparel brand by simply standing in front of a magic mirror (virtual scanning). With augmented reality technology, customers can virtually try on the clothes through the mirror without the hassle of changing in the fitting room.

In the project, I was in charge of UI & UX design and promo video in a multi-disciplinary working environment.

Challenges & Approach


User research is the key to success









From a user experience design standpoint, the new shopping experience product requires insight user research. Getting to know target audiences’ wants and needs is crucial for the design process. As one of the team members at the R&D team, we did ample primary and secondary research, such as questionnaires, discussion sessions with users, competitive analysis, etc. Visually, we incorporated a sense of futurism into the design, matching the high-tech quality of the product.
